  • India has one of the youngest populations in the world and a very large pool of young people and has potential to meet the skill needs of other countries and also cater to its own demand for skilled manpower.
  • Globally enthused at the journey that India has embarked upon skilling 500 million people by 2022 and a study analysis on Skills Gap undergone successfully through credible partners across many states of India and these studies will helps us to understand various dimensions of the problem and opportunity within.
  • Ironically, most industries in India are currently struggling with scarcity of skilled labour. Although more than 40 million people are registered in employment exchanges, only 0.2 million get jobs.
  • Low labour-cost and a rich talent pool are distinct advantages available to India, clearly powering its global competiveness as a knowledge-based society. Education and training are both strategic necessities, which will deliver employment-enhancing skills, in turn increasing productivity and accelerating the future economic growth of the country.
  • To further strengthen India’s position of being a dominant service economy, it is imperative for the government to invest in skilling and training the available human capital, especially to provide for the knowledge-intensive sectors.
  • Being the prime provider for skill development in India, the government has established various avenues and pathways to increase employability of the learner, under the national policy on skills. Furthermore, the private sector too has entered this space by being both a supplier and consumer of skilled manpower. Initiatives under the public private partnership mode (PPP) such as the National Skills Development Corporation currently has 59 partners who are paramount in catalyzing Skill Development and training in the country.
  • Vocational training and Skills have been given high importance to make people skilled and ready to meet the growing demands of the industry. In order to provide Vocational Education and Training to the students Annai Cauvery Social Developement Trust was emerged.
  • Annai Cauvery Social Developement Trust focuses on imparting industry relevant skills to youth to make them industry- ready and skilled personnel using world-class content and practices.

OBJECTIVE OF FOUNDING OUR TRUST :
  • To create alertness amongst those who are under the poverty line in respect of their work, culture and environmental Clear liners.
  • To do the needful to the poor illiterates especially scheduled caste, schedule tribe and most backward community regarding education.
  • To undertake necessary endeavours to provide schools, colleges, training schools and seminars for promoting scientific knowledge.
  • To take step for the betterment of the poor by forming small scale industries and fish farms
  • To create alertness with help of the government development scheme authorities among the backward class people concerning family welfare small savings, protection of drinking water, fuel-saving, planting trees in the houses, keeping environment in a better condition consumers interest/rights through cinemas, camps seminars etc.,
  • Providing medical facilities to the deserving poor
  • To patronise sanatorium, art galleries, maternity wards, birth control institution and take steps to provide them in the areas where there is none.
  • To Start and manage rest house for the aged
  • To promote fraternity among the classes of society
  • To provide welfare without caste, creed or colour for deserving orphans and neglected persons and grant funds for the promotion of such establishments.
  • In improving the livelihoods of the rural and urban people by providing skill development and vocational training courses and make them employable or an entrepreneur.
  • To produce a talent pool of skilled professionals to meet the labour requirements of Indian industries and create employment opportunities for Indians in India. The skills acquired by the students are benchmarked to meet international standards.
  • To create a non-formal Skill Development infrastructure across the country to focus on the skill requirements of unorganized and informal sectors.
  • To implement, operationalize and manage the Skill Development infrastructure to achieve economic viability with the objective of having a multiplier effect in Skill Development in terms of trainees and skill up gradation.
  • To develop enhanced operational frameworks with industries across key sectors for content development, training, placement, assessment and certifications.
  • To partner with government agencies through PPP models to help achieve the training, placement and socio-economic targets of the government.
  • To skill up gradation through industry linkages to meet the growing demand for a large pool of skilled industrial workforce.
  • Specially focus on the needs of the target group, primarily people from the BPL in rural areas.
  • Proposes to use its expertise, world class content, tech-enabled learning, assessment and certifications to achieve its targets in terms of both quality and numbers.
  • Tie up with Government Institutions for recognized certifications for the Skill Development courses.
  • ANNAI CAUVERY SOCIAL DEVELOPEMENT TRUST has identified several key sectors and developed core capabilities to address the skill gaps in each of the sectors proposed to conduct Skill Training to the eligible rural and urban people and will provide need based skill development training programme. ANNAI CAUVERY SOCIAL DEVELOPEMENT TRUST initiatives aim to improve the employability of the men and women in urban & Rural poor community to enhance their sustainable livelihood. The Government considers skill development as a single solution to meet the shortfall in skilled industrial workers, address the high unemployment rate, provide an alternate means of education to a significantly large number of school dropouts and address key socio-economic disparities in the Indian society. In view of this, the Government has set itself a mammoth target to skill 500 million people by the year 2022.
  • ANNAI CAUVERY SOCIAL DEVELOPEMENT TRUST has been focussing in reducing poverty and vulnerability of the rural and urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor. The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the rural and urban homeless in a phased manner. Reducing poverty and improving livelihood in rural & urban areas is likely to be the overall objective of the company.
